Brechbill & Helman Const. Co. of Chambersburg, PA has received the 2010 Green Building Association of Central PA (GBACPA) Green Building Award for Water Efficiency. The 2010 Annual Awards Dinner was held at the Wildwood Conference Center at Harrisburg Area Community College on April 15, 2010.
The award was for the implementation of waterless and low-flow fixtures, installation of a water reuse tank for the manufacturing process and 100% reduction of potable water for landscaping maintenance at Vacon, Inc. The new facility for Vacon’s North American Headquarters opened in November 2009.
Receiving the award on behalf of Brechbill and Helman were Angus Steinson, LEED AP and Taylor Davis, LEED GA Assistant Director of Marketing. Attending the ceremony were Mike Ross; FCADC, Dave Sciamanna; CADC, Mike Hennessey; Vacon, Bruce Garner and Kim Fuhrman; SGS Architects Engineers.
